Olympus Users Can Now Receive Technical and Service Updates Electronically

Melville, N.Y. (August 6, 2003) - Users of Olympus chemistry-immuno, blood bank testing and laboratory automation systems can now be notified via email every time there are new technical documents affecting their labs. By electing to receive user updates electronically, users can read, share, reprint and store important information instantaneously and directly, saving time and streamlining communications. Technical and service announcements can now be sent directly to the user's office, lab, and even selected colleagues via free email subscription.

"This new service reflects Olympus' total customer focus," said Bruce Gernaey, director of marketing for Olympus America Inc.'s Diagnostic Systems Group. "We know that increasingly, laboratorians are on line and many prefer to receive information electronically. We believe we are the first company in our field to provide this convenient, no-charge service."

To register oneself or a colleague in the lab for the electronic communications, users can log onto www.olympusamerica.com/updateregistration and sign up. Users can choose to receive paper updates, electronic updates, or both.
