Olympus Previews AU3000i™ Immunoassay System
Los Angeles, July 27, 2004 - Olympus is previewing its new AU3000i™ automated immunoassay system at the American Association for Clinical Chemistry's 2004 Annual Meeting and Clinical Lab Expo.
The AU3000i immunoassay system is designed with the same focus on reliability and efficiency that distinguish Olympus AU® chemistry systems worldwide. Throughput is fast (up to 240 tests per hour) and flexible with random access processing and STAT interrupt. Magnetic particle capture and chemiluminescent detection provide excellent sensitivity and linearity for fertility, thyroid, tumor, anemia, and cardiac panels. Key software operating steps are standardized between the AU chemistry and AU3000i systems, thereby allowing lab personnel to easily move between systems. Ease of use is enhanced by the Windows® operating system, touch screen interface, videos, color-coded graphics and integrated User's Guide.
The AU3000i will be available as a separate workstation or as a workcell with AU chemistry systems. The Olympus AU-CONNECTOR™ integrates specimen movement between two to four Olympus AU Chemistry and AU3000i systems. The workcell design supports STAT processing, single loading area for routine specimens, and single user-interface to monitor multiple instruments.
OLYMPUS SUPPORTVISION™ system will be a part of the service and support for the AU3000i. OLYMPUS SUPPORTVISION system is an Internet-based device management system for Olympus analyzers that allows real-time monitoring of instrument performance and proactive service intervention for enhanced customer support.
The AU3000i and the AU-CONNECTOR will be available in early 2006. At the current time they are being previewed and are for research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedures.
