Olympus Offers Master Curve Calibration for the Olympus AU680® Chemistry System
CENTER VALLEY, Pa., December 18, 2008 – The necessity to verify and document that a laboratory analyzer is calibrated and performing properly is becoming increasingly critical for both internal quality assurance and to respond to laboratory oversight committees. Olympus, a leader in the field of in vitro diagnostics, has now introduced master curve calibration applications for the quantitative determination of Olympus immuno-turbidimetric reagents on the Olympus AU680® chemistry system. Master curve calibration capability elevates the performance of the AU680 by increasing laboratory efficiency and cost management.
The use of two-dimensional barcodes on Olympus R1 reagent vials allows automatic uploading of multi-point, lot-specific master calibration curves. Clinicians can then perform a single-point adjustment calibration using Olympus Master Cal Set 1 (ODR30037). The master curve calibration is available now for use with C3 (OSR6159), C4 (OSR6160), Transferrin (OSR6152) and Anti-Streptolysin O (OSR6194), along with the newly released Immunoglobulin-A (OSR61171), and Immunoglobulin - M (OSR61173) reagents.
