| Home >> Ask Olympus: Lens not showing F-Stop |

Question:
When I connect the lens to the camera the F-stop number does not appear. Do you know why?
Answer: If you mount the lens while inadvertently pressing the lens release button, it is possible to rotate the lens past the locking position. The result is that the electrical contacts on the lens are misaligned. To prevent this, make sure you're not pressing the lens release button when mounting a lens. When you hear the lens click into place, it's properly mounted.
