Olympus Corporate Social Responsiblity Philosophy


Since 1994 Olympus Corporation and its global subsidiaries, including the Olympus USA Incorporated affiliates, have sought to become a value-creating enterprise under a management philosophy based on the “Social IN” concept, which calls for active INvolvement in society, developing INsight to social needs through the sharing of values, and providing INspiration to society through the proposal of new values. We promote these corporate social responsibility activities throughout the Olympus Group.

In April 2005, Olympus Corporation established a Corporate Social Responsibility Division to coordinate company activities in such areas as the environment, quality and risk management, as well as regularly communicate with a wide range of stakeholders including customers and shareholders. From an environmental perspective, the Olympus Group will continue to fulfill its responsibilities by consolidating the use of eco-design methods and working toward the development of a sustainable society.
