Reprocessors Exam: Training is your first line of defense

In large part, infection control efforts rest in the hands of staff members responsible for reprocessing the complex instruments and equipment used during procedures. It is critical that these staff members be highly trained and up-to-date on proper reprocessing protocols. Courses for reprocessing staff are available at Olympus University. All healthcare facilities are also encouraged to ensure competency of reprocessing personnel through certification as a Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor (CFER).
