- Intelligent algorithms filter clock induced charge events from the background in real time or post-processing.
- Optional EX2 Technology extends quantum efficiency response.
Ideal for applications that require:
- Speed challenged low-light detection such as spinning disk confocal microscopy, single molecule tracking, ion signaling, cell motility and single photon counting.
iXon3 897 – Outstanding Sensitivity
The iXon3 897 delivers thermoelectric cooling down to -100° C to offer a superbly lowest clock induced charge noise. Features include:
- Integration into *cellSens® software.
- Cropped Sensor Mode provides for continuous imaging with fastest possible temporal resolution.
- Thermoelectric cooling to -100°C.
- Optional Fringe Suppression feature to reduce etaloning in the near-infrared region.
Ideal for applications that require:
- Single molecule detection, super-resolution microscopy & TIRF microscopy.
iXon3 888 – Large Field of View and Sensitivity
The iXon3 888 combines a large field of view with single photon detection capability and >90% quantum efficiency. Features include:
- A 1024 x 1024 frame transfer format offers unequalled thermoelectric cooling down to -95°C.
- Intuitive Single Photon Counting modes to overcome multiplicative noise.
- Selectable amplifier outputs – EM-CCD and conventional.
Ideal for applications that require:
- In vivo luminescence, FRET.
iXon3 860 High Speed and Sensitivity
The iXon3 860 is designed for very rapid imaging of low light events by a 128 x 128 sensor, combining >500 fps with single photon detection capability and >90% quantum efficiency.
Features include:
- RealGain™ feature provides absolute EM-CCD gain selectable directly from a linear and quantitative scale
- Count Convert feature quantitatively captures and converts data in electrons or incident photons.
Ideal for applications that require:
- Calcium flux, voltage sensitive dyes.
iXon3 885 High Speed and Sensitivity
The iXon3 885’s megapixel sensor format and 8 x 8 micron pixel size presents an attractive combination of field of view and high-resolution, offering excellent Nyquist oversampling for cell microscopy. Features include:
- 35 MHz readout for 31 frames per second at full megapixel resolution.
- Significantly higher sensitivity to red-emitting dyes such as CY5, mCherry, dsRed and Alexa680.
- Count Convert feature quantitatively captures and converts data in electrons or incident photons.
Ideal for applications that require:
- Selective/single plane illumination microscopy (SPIM) & FRET/FRAP.
